Our Learn to Swim Scheme offers over 160 classes for all ages and abilities. Our focus is high-quality tuition with experienced instructors who love what they do. Our swimming lessons require pre-booking and are not included in any membership packages.
The last day of lessons for this term is Sunday December 08. Existing swimmers rebook from Monday December 02. Registered new swimmers book from Tuesday December 10.
Registration for New Swimmers opens from Monday November 25. Registration is not booking and is not first come first served. Date of registration has no affect on booking.

PARENT & BABY
(6 Months+)
A confidence-building class for parent and baby alike with lots of songs and smiles. These sessions are held on Tuesdays 11:30 – 12:00 and Wednesdays 11.00 – 11.30am. Parents/guardians required to accompany in the water.

(2 Years)
Continue to develop confidence for both parent and child whilst independence starts to be encouraged. These sessions are held on Tuesdays 11:00 – 11:30 and Wednesdays 10.30 – 11.00am. Parents/guardians required to accompany in the water.

PRE-SCHOOL
(3 Years)
Held in our Learner Pool with a Teacher and an Assistant. Children develop water confidence through positive play and guided discovery. A structured class without parent accompaniment. Sessions run throughout the week after school and weekend mornings.

BEGINNERS 1
(4 -7 Years, ASA Stages 1 & 2)
Held in our Learner Pool with a Teacher and an Assistant, basic, easy to follow practices are developed to improve confidence and ability. Sessions run throughout the week after school and weekend mornings.

BEGINNERS 2
(6+ Years, ASA Stage 3)
Held in the shallow end of our main pool with the Teacher on poolside, children must be able to stand comfortably in 1 metre depth. Submersion, flotation and independent travel are further encouraged focusing on body position and technique. Sessions run throughout the week after school and weekend mornings. This session is also suitable for the older complete Beginner age 8+ due to water depth.

IMPROVERS 1
(ASA Stage 4)
Held in the centre of our main pool, swimmers will be taught the key skills required to develop the four main swimming strokes. Children must be able to swim 10 metres confidently on front & back for this class. Sessions run throughout the week after school and weekend mornings.

IMPROVERS 2
(ASA Stage 5)
Held in deep water the aim is to improve the technical ability of each stroke over a gradually increasing distance. Swimmers must be able to swim 25 metres confidently front and back for this class. Sessions run throughout the week after school and weekend mornings.

ADULT
Group sessions available for both Beginner and Improver levels. Whether starting from scratch or looking to improve a particular stroke, our instructors will provide bespoke tuition. Sessions are 45 minutes and are held Monday evenings.

ADVANCED
(ASA Stages 6 -10)
Lengths classes where the laws of each stroke will be taught alongside principles of training. Swimmers must be able to swim 100 metres front and back confidently as a minimum. Sessions start at 30-minute classes ASA stage 6 and progress to 1-hour classes ASA stage 6, 7 and 8-10.

SYNCHRO SWIM CLUB
(From ASA Stage 5)
This class is currently unavailable. An Olympic Sport that mixes swimming with gymnastics and includes diving, stunts, lifts and endurance movements. Swimmers must be able to swim 200m and be confident in deep water. This session is both pool and land-based. It is held Saturday’s from 10.30. The session will focus on dance and movement along with creative and choreography skills. Swimmers will also be able to work towards the Swim England Artistic Swimming Land Grades.

ROOKIE LIFEGUARD
(From ASA Stage 5)
Both a theory and pool-based session. Swimming strokes, Water Safety, Rescue Principles, CPR, First Aid are all covered. Swimmers must be able to swim 200m and be confident in deep water. This session is held Saturday’s 11.00-12.30.

AQUATIC FRAMEWORK
Our Learn to Swim Scheme follows Swim England’s National Syllabus. Starting with Duckling Awards for our younger swimmers then progressing through Stages 1 – 7.
